HOW IT AIDING IN CATCHING THOSE
it aiding in catching those most fear An ABSOLUTELY amazing book to hear from an xperienced investigator in John Douglas was a treat I ll be reading of John s books I m hooked I was very disappointed in this book many people were recommending it and seemed to be rating it highly but now I understand that it was trending because of a Netflix show I wanted to learn about forensic investigation and criminal profiling it seemed with the writers xperience who would have a wealth of knowledge but I wasted hours of my time on this book with virtually none of the information I wanted to knowMost of this book is the writer talking about his own life ven what he ats for lunch sometimes his writing style is so dumbed down there is nothing remotely academic about this book This book is for people who want a cheap thrill of a crime novel with no substance behind it It reads like a biography than an actual resource for information on this subject Even though the book is designed to be like a cheap novel or memoir than a ducating primer I still found it to be incredibly dry and boring I have absolutely no interest in the writers The Social Machine: Designs for Living Online ex girlfriends where he went for christmas that year what his life in school was like maybe if it seemed like it added some context to how abilities or insight but it really doesn tI gave this book to a charity shop after I was done reading it as it has nothing to offer mexcept to mostly waste my time for the most slim pieces of information that its actually relatively asy to find anyway by watching any documentary or read. Now a Netflix original series Discover the classic behind the scenes chronicle of John E Douglas' twenty five year career in the FBI Investigative Support Unit where he used psychological profiling to delve into the minds of the country's most notorious serial killers and criminals In chilling detail the legendary Mindhunter takes us behind the scenes of some of his most gruesome fascinating and challenging cases and into the darkest recess.

Ant I m so cool and hilarious storiesCredit where it s due the work this guy did is obviously brilliant but it reads like an application to join a frat house Not sure I m going to get much furtherThoroughly recommend the Robert Ressler book if you re interest An interesting life from a dedicated leader teaching others to make our world a safer place I don t nvy Douglas career but I appreciate what he carries with him so the masses can sleep at night Really fascinating look at what the FBI profilers and law nforcement have To Contend With Catch contend with to catch of the most notorious criminals on Earth book covers so many fascinating cases and provides an insight into the working of the FBI and the development of criminal profiling What should have been a really interesting read is marred by the fact that Douglas is so self congratulating its detracts from the cases He only goes very loosely into how the profiles are formed most of the time he seems to just magically come up with the goods and he s always rightToo much about the journey of the man and not nough about the science for my liking I purchased this book recently having read the rave reviews received for the series of the same name on Netflix I am an avid thriller reader and fascinated by most things related to crime so found this account by John Edward Douglas who is a former United States Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI agent and one of the first criminal profilers a very informative read He recounts some of the cases he has dealt with many of which are house old names such as Charles Manson and Ted Bundy and gives fascinating insights into the mind of a serial killerI found the book actually got better the I read and I am now looking forward to watching the TV Serie. In The Silence of the Lambs Douglas has confronted interviewed and studied scores of serial killers and assassins including Charles Manson Ted Bundy and Ed Gein who dressed himself in his victims' peeled skin Using his uncanny ability to become both predator and prey Douglas xamines ach crime scene reliving both the killer's and the victim's actions in his mind creating their profiles describing their habits and predicting their next move.
